Christmas Cake Recipes – Cranberry Pudding Cake

This Christmas cake is delicious and beautiful. The pop of color and taste from the cranberries is the perfect holiday twist on cake. What’s even better is this Christmas cake is topped with a Hot Butter Sauce that cannot be beat! Be prepared to go back for seconds and thirds on this amazing cake!


  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 cups flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 package (12 ounces) cranberries
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
  2. Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the 6 Tbsp butter and 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the evaporated milk.
  5. Stir in the cranberries and pour the batter into the pan.
  6. Bake in the oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  7. Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes and then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. To make the Hot Butter Sauce, combine 1 cup butter, 2 cups sugar and the cream in a saucepan.
  9. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  10. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  11. Pour the sauce over the cake and serve.
